Abstract
Mooring lines tension determination is of significant importance for mooring design and berthing structures. The tension determination model is the base for mooring lines force analysis and morphological simulation. Based on rod-micro-element model, a mooring lines tension determination model is proposed for calculating the mooring lines force that a ship mooring system is subject to wind, waves, and currents. Then, a morphological simulation model is put forward to simulate the spatial form of mooring lines by the approach of function force balance under the two-dimensional coordinate system. This research can provide methodological and technological support for describe the shape, position, and posture of mooring lines in a navigation simulator and can also provide exploration on ship mooring system research.
