Abstract
Today's changing and globalized world allows us to live a more comfortable life than previous generations. Science, technology, and information shape societies in this century and affect their way of life. The constant production and evolution of science, technology, and information promise an easier and more pleasant life, a promise that in numerous cases is true. However, not everything needed for a good life depends on current inventions. On the contrary, it depends on what has been and has existed for generations. This is the case of the most precious resource on planet earth, water.
