Numerical Simulation and Experimental Research of Bridge Damage Identification
Publication: Traffic and Transportation Studies 2010
Abstract
The paper mainly studies Yin He bridges' damage detection. This bridge was completed in 2000.In the morning of December 13 2001, a truck are bumped against #8 suspension rod of the bridge.Because the main loading consists of a rib arch and suspension rod, the paper analyzes L/2 across, L/4 across of the rib arch, and bumped #8 suspension rod different damage degree's dynamic characteristics. It concludes that the changing regularization of the whole structure's dynamic characteristic made it possible forthe damage detection to the rib arch according to the dynamic characteristic changing and strain modal.
