Vibration Monitoring Using Wireless Sensor Networks on Dongying Huanghe River Bridge

Abstract
In this paper, vibration testing experiment using wireless sensor networks kits on Dongying Huanghe River Bridge is introduced. In order to monitor the vibration of the bridge, the wireless sensor networks produced by Crossbow are mended, and the middleware technique and Lab View program language are used. The mended wireless networks can finish functions such as self-organizing, showing real-timely, storage. Then, on the basis of the field on Dongying Huanghe River Bridge, the wireless vibration test on the bridge is done in different loads. By the analysis of the vibration data, it is estimated whether the bridge is in normal load, and this provides a basis for further applying wireless sensor networks to bridge monitoring. And it is found that the wireless sensor node with no encapsulation is easily interfered, so the sensor is needed to be improved.
