Abstract
With tetra butyl titanate and stannic chloride as precursors and n-propanol as solvent [Ti:Sn=100:10], nanometer-sized TiO2-SnO2 DSA electrodes were prepared by Sol-Gel method. The micrograph and structure of the electrode surface and the element composition of surface layers were analyzed by SEM, XRD and EDX. The O2 evolution potential was observed by cyclic voltammetry. The relationship between the electro-catalytic characteristics and the electrode structure was analyzed. In this paper, oily wastewater from petroleum refinery was treated by self-prepared electrodes. Water quality of the treated oily wastewater achieved national discharge standard I, and met the production requirement. The influence of critical parameters, such as voltage, pH value, electrolysis time and electrode spacing, on the oil content and COD removal rate was studied in the experiment. The experimental results indicate that when the voltage is 17V, pH value is 3, the electrode spacing is 1.25cm, and the electrolysis time is 60min, the oil content and COD of the oily wastewater is 5.97mg/L and 28.26mg/L, namely the removal rate is 96.75% and 94.63%, respectively.
