Abstract
From October 2006 through September 2009, the US National Science Foundation is sponsoring a project on performance-based design of masonry and masonry veneer. This project deals with new masonry construction rather than existing masonry construction. In this paper, the project participants are introduced; our experimental and analytical work plans are reviewed; and the principal results to date are presented.
