Game Analysis on Agricultural Quality Control between Wholesale Market and Suppliers
Publication: Logistics: The Emerging Frontiers of Transportation and Development in China
Abstract
The main form of an agricultural supply chain is the supply chain with a wholesale market as the core in China. This paper establishes a single-stage game model that only considers fine punishment between a wholesale market and suppliers. Then it adds credit punishment and inspecting capacity step by step to the model to analyze such factors' influence on the outcome of the game. Through the analysis mentioned above, this paper considers that the establishment of a stable contractual relationship has a helpful effect on the quality of the agricultural products purchased. A variety of factors, such as inspecting capacity, determine the result of agricultural quality control jointly. To make sure that suppliers' actions do not deviate from the goal of quality control, a wholesale market must establish an appropriate incentive and punishment mechanism. To make sure of the safety of agricultural products, the government and related departments must work together tightly with the wholesale market.
