Analysis of Container Shipping Market Forecast Based on Economical Cybernetics
Publication: Logistics: The Emerging Frontiers of Transportation and Development in China
Abstract
In order to forecast and analyze the development and various characteristics of container shipping market accurately, this paper applies economical cybernetics in container shipping market, establishes economic cybernetics forecast model for container shipping market, analyzes market structure, regulation and influencing factors of container shipping market from three basic aspects of need sub-system, supply sub-system and freight sub-system. On the basis of these, the model is used to forecast and simulate container shipping market, discuss system stability, feedback control and optimize decision. The predicted result and actual data fit well, so the model can reflect container shipping market more accurately. The application of economic cybernetics model can provide valid help when decision makers of liner shipping companies are carrying out decision-making for production and management such as container ship's capacity allocation and liner route planning.
