Reverse Logistics Chain Models with Product Remanufacturing Based on B to C Pattern

Publication: Logistics: The Emerging Frontiers of Transportation and Development in China

Abstract

With the rapid development of e-business, more and more attention is being paid to reverse logistics, which is brought on by product returns. The main topic of this article is how to choose a reverse logistics service pattern, when repairing and remanufacturing returned goods. We shall propose three kinds of closed-loop supply chain models and analyze the profit of the B2C firm among these models. We will find that the choice of a reverse logistics service pattern is determined by the technology of the product.
