Abstract
The Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone in the Yangtze River upstream area has become a hot spot since the Western Development Strategy of China was implemented. An important corridor between Chengdu and Chongqing has emerged and shaped the spatial structure of the region. This paper reports the evolution and development of the Chengdu-Chongqing logistics corridor. The elements and characteristics of the logistics corridors are analyzed. It is concluded that the highway acts as the most important transport mode and that the three expressway axes play different roles in the logistics corridor.
