Abstract
This paper presents the probabilistic extension of a novel approach for the evaluation of the structural performance of concrete structures subjected to the diffusive attack from external aggressive agents. The diffusion process is modeled by using cellular automata and the mechanical damage coupled to diffusion is evaluated by proper material degradation laws. Monte Carlo simulation is applied in order to account for the randomness of the main parameters of the structural problem. The time-variant reliability with respect to proper measures of the structural performance is finally computed.
