Effectiveness of Integrated Reservoir Watershed Conservation in Taiwan

Abstract
Water resources development, the status of reservoir management, and the management problems of reservoir watershed in Taiwan are investigated. The effectiveness of integrated reservoir watershed conservation is evaluated. Several improved measures are planned in the integrated reservoir watershed conservation project to achieve four main goals, including (1) the sustainable development of reservoirs, (2) the ecological environment of water resources, (3) the integrated control of disasters mitigation, and (4) community-oriented management.
