Inelastic Behavior of Hybrid Coupled Walls
Publication: Composite Construction in Steel and Concrete IV
Abstract
The seismic behavior and design of hybrid coupled shear walls is discussed. A prototype system is designed according to current specifications then analyzed using the finite element approach according to criteria in FEMA-273 (1). The performance of the system and its individual components is evaluated and seismic design provisions are assessed.
