Design of Composite Steel and Concrete Sandwich Elements

Abstract
Corus UK Ltd has developed a new system for use in double skin composite panels (Bi-Steel). Analytical and a numerical models have been developed to gain insight into the physical behaviour of these plates. In this paper both models as well as design rules for the verification of sandwich elements are presented.
