Fractal Measures of Dense Stream Networks
Publication: Building Partnerships
Abstract
Numerous measures have been proposed to characterize the fractal characteristics of streams and stream networks. The performance of these measures has not been tested and compared for real watershed data. In this study, these dimension estimates are computed and compared for several Indiana watersheds. The variability in these dimension estimates are discussed.
