Electronic Dataloggers

Use of electronic dataloggers and pressure transducers has changed the methods, economics, accuracy, and dynamics of aquifer tests. Using electronic dataloggers allows economic monitoring of more observation wells during an aquifer test. With the electronic datalogger, the number of persons required during an aquifer test has been greatly reduced. The accuracy and reliability of data is enhanced with the electronic datalogger. Also, the electronic dataloggers have the capability of collecting data in very short time intervals, such as tenths and hundredths of a second. Electronic dataloggers can be programmed to collect data at varying times: i.e., start collecting data at tenths of a second and after a set lapsed time the data collection interval can be changed to seconds or minutes.
