Experimental Application of Morphological Processes with High-Performance Computers (IIPUX-NT-PLATFORM) at Alluvial Flumes

Abstract

In this paper the formation of transporting sediment is given theoretically and experimentally with high-performance computers. In uniform materials and on a uniform slope, a series of uniform bends will develop. This development is described theoretically and a mathematical model is compared with the experimental data. Bed load particles move through an alluvial flume under the action of gravity, fluid drag, lift, and friction associated with the loss momentum to the bed via collision.
