Performance Prediction for Steel Moment Frames

Abstract
A reliability-based performance based method for performance prediction for steel frame buildings was developed for the SAC Phase 2 research program. A load and resistance format was developed where the variations due to randomness and uncertainties in the loads and resistances are accounted for explicitly. The confidences in achieving the performance objectives are also calculated.
