Abstract

Pinellas County and the Southwest Florida Water Management District's Surface Water Improvement and Management (SWIM) Department have jointly funded a project to retrofit an urban drainage basin for stormwater attenuation and treatment. This paper presents unique design features along with an effective combination of public education and environmental awareness that can easily be applied to other projects.
