Willamette River Valley Floodplain Restoration
Publication: Engineering Approaches to Ecosystem Restoration
Abstract
A study was performed to evaluate flood management benefits through floodplain restoration on the Willamette River in Oregon. An assessment of historic flooding and flood damages provided a context for developing conceptual restoration measures. The study was coincidentally released at the time of a 1996 flood event on the river.
