In Eqs. (2), (4), and (5), the term cos α should be cot α. Essentially, Eq. (2) is the original Hudson formula, which was presented incorrectly. Also, the term for the incident wave height, H, was inadvertently omitted. These mistakes were then carried over into Eqs. (4) and (5).
The correct equations are presented herein.
