Approximate Numerical Model for Stratified Flow

Publication: Journal of Engineering Mechanics
Volume 109, Issue 4

Abstract

An approximate numerical solution is developed for the two‐dimensional linearized equations for stratified flow. Applications of the approximate solution to the shear driven stratified cavity flow are presented. The parameters which determine the predicted circulation cells in this flow are discussed.
