This Special collection on “Recent Advances in Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) Techniques and Applications” features the recent tools and techniques for evaluating the integrity of structural systems and their preventive maintenance. The implementation of SHM techniques has been widely proposed and documented in recent years. These techniques have been successfully deployed to improve reliability and safety and to solve maintenance problems of our aging civil infrastructure systems.
