Publication: Practice Periodical of Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste Management

New Manuscript Submission Requirements
All manuscripts submitted to the Practice Periodical of Hazardous, Toxic and Radioactive Waste Management should be accompanied by a list of four potential reviewers suggested by the author(s). This list should include the complete name, address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail address, and a list of at least five keywords that identify the expertise of each reviewer. The Periodical is not obligated to use all or any of the recommended reviewers; however, we feel that this policy will lead to an improved review process.
All submissions for special issues should be uploaded to our electronic system, Editorial Manager. Please visit the journal’s website for more information and for links to the online submission/review system.

We had several dedicated issues in the past on special topics and we plan to follow this practice in the future. The following topics are planned for future dedicated or special issues in the order listed:

Papers in This Issue
In this issue, we have technical articles on turbidity removal efficiency of biocoagulant and verifications of its biological safety; improved model applying the 6-sigma methodology to evaluate leaking water faucets; multicomponent sorption of pyridine and its derivatives from aqueous solution onto rice husk ash and granular activated carbon; beneficial properties of coal ashes and effective solid waste management; full-scale laboratory study into clogging of pipes permeated with landfill leachate; properties of thermoplastics reinforced with foundry sand waste; selecting appropriate analytical methods to characterize asbestos in various media; and phytoextraction modeling of heavy metal (lead) contaminated site using maize (Zea mays).
