Erratum for “Time–Frequency Spectral Representation Models to Simulate Nonstationary Processes and Their Use to Generate Ground Motions” by H. P. Hong and X. Z. Cui

The following corrections should be made to the original paper:

A typo for Eq. (10a) was found: “$S(p,q)=x_{DS}(p,q)x_{DS}^{*}(p,q)$” should be read as

In the sentence preceding Eq. (11), “Their model according…,” should be read as, “Their model, but with positive frequency only, according…”.

The middle plot in the second row in Figs. 7 and 8 should be removed, resulting in these figures as shown in this correction. The coefficient of variation for the amplitude in question equals zero since the amplitude of the discrete orthonormal S-transform (DOST) coefficient in Model-1 equals its target.

In the first paragraph of the “Simulated Records for a Single Site” section, “The COV is within approximately 0.5” should be corrected as, “The COV of using Model-2 is within approximately 0.5. The COV of using Model-1 is not shown since it equals zero.”

In the sentence preceeding Eq. (33), “$I_{UV}(j,l)=1/2$” should be read as “$I_{UV}(j,l)=N/2$.”
