Editor’s Note

I am pleased to announce the appointment of a new Associate Editor, Harold Walker, Ph.D., P.E., who is an associate professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Geodetic Science at Ohio State University. Hal is also codirector of the Ohio Water Resources Center. He completed his doctoral work at the University of California, Irvine. His research interests include physical/chemical processes, including nanotechnology, membrane processes, polymer adsorption and colloid stability, metal sorption, and dissolution. Applications of his work have included understanding the fate and transport of nanoparticles in the environment, membrane processes for drinking water and industrial waste treatment, sanitation in the developing world, and industrial waste minimization and reutilization, especially by-products from fossil fuel combustion.
