Abstract
A method is proposed for estimating pedestrian traffic on a proposed skywalk system in Des Moines, Iowa. Factors that influence usage are identified. Two mathematical models are presented to predict savings in vehicle delay which would result from the system. A pedestrian accident analysis is discussed. A cost benefit analysis of the system is described.
