Staging of Improvements to Air Transport Terminals
Publication: Transportation Engineering Journal of ASCE
Volume 100, Issue 4
Abstract
A simulation model to evaluate delays to aircraft at airport terminals is described. The model can be used to determine the justification for providing additional gate positions at terminals using either economic or level-of-service criteria. A possible application of the model to determine the justification of providing a fourteenth gate position at Sydney International Air Terminal is outlined.
