Air Traffic Simulation, One and Two-Runway Airports

Abstract
A Monte Carlo simulation of airplane traffic through an airport has been developed to analyze airport congestion and delays. Details of this program are described, including components of the system, the simulation of air traffic flow, and the computational flow of the simulation. In addition, an illustrative example is shown for a busy two-runway airport operating under Instrument Flight Rules.
