List of Information Sources for Airport Planners

Abstract
A compilation was prepared to acquaint the engineer with names and addresses of organizations that have been active as sources of information on airport planning and design. Rather than a bibliography of specific documents, the list is instead primarily a directory, which may be used as a checklist by a veteran planner/designer to insure that he does not overlook a less prominent source, or it may be used as a starting point by a newcomer in assembling his working library. Implementation of the Federal Airport and Airway Act of 1970 is expected to attract many such newcomers into the field of airport planning and design. Sources are arbitrarily separated into five categories: books; government organizations; professional organizations; manufacturers and trade organizations; and commercial periodicals.
