International Challenge to Airports

Abstract
A brief outline is presented of the history and organization of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Details of its work concerning airports are given together with statistics on the development of international aviation, and also with a comparison of the development in the United States. Comments are given on the need for improved aviation facilities throughout the world and what ICAO is doing to help meet these new requirements.
