Abstract
Some of the fundamentals of system theory that may be used in the analysis of a wide variety of engineering problems are presented. The use of linear graph theory as a technique of systems analysis, is described. The way in which this theory may be used as a tool in structural analysis is described; the application is shown by an example. It is concluded that the generality of the method makes it particularly suitable for analysis by automatic computation of highly redundant structures.
