Correction of Landslides and Slipouts

Abstract
Correction of landslides and slipouts has been a major problem in highway construction and maintenance in California. The author presents measures for the corrective treatment of landslides which have been found to be successful in California. It should be realized, however, that treatment is determined for each location after exploration and analysis of the slide. There is no universal method for correcting all landslides; each slide must be studied as an individual problem.
