River-Rail Terminal

Abstract
What is the meaning of a river-rail terminal? First, it means that the river will help the, railroads; second, it means that the railroads will help the river; and, finally, that both will help the port as well as the so-called hinterland. Ever city of prominence and importance has been made in two–ways either by water, such as lakes and seaports, or by railroad. The largest cities in the United States, and those of the greatest importance, have a combination of both water and rail.
