Arrested Wedge in Circular Tube

Abstract
This note describes an investigation into the penetration of a saline wedge into a circular pipe, as might occur, for example, in effluent outfall structures. Experimental results indicate that existing two-dimensional theories based on flow in wide rectangular channels were adequate for describing the three-dimensional phenomenon studied.
