Abstract
Investigations were carried out to determine the functional relationship between the Froude number and the magnitude, distribution and frequency of pressure fluctuations on the downstream face of a sluice gate partially submerged in the quasi-stable eddy (surface roller) of a hydraulic jump. Results obtained are compared with previously reported results for boundary pressure fluctuations in an expansion chamber in closed conduit flow.
