Abstract
Review of techniques for marking beach material, including improved resins, dyes and pigments and radioactive isotopes and fluorescent tracers; it is considered that the one method that is suitable for marking and tracing all sizes of beach material and that permits direct tracing both onshore and offshore, is that using selected radioactive isotopes; advantages of all available techniques.
