Abstract
Liquid jet may be deflected by device that is composed of straight segments but if segments are short, compared to thickness of jet, deflection angle is unknown; formulas are derived for computation of 2 dimensional case for symmetrical deflectors by applying free streamline theory; for application to flip buckets on spillways, set of curves is presented for designers.
