The Turbulent Boundary Layer in a Conical Diffuser
Publication: Journal of the Hydraulics Division
Volume 84, Issue 3
Abstract
Method for predicting behavior of turbulent boundary layer in smooth walled diffuser based on analysis in two distinct regions as suggested by Ross, involving only solution of algebraic equations; two tests conducted on 10° total angle diffuser with different thicknesses of initial boundary layer; data given to test applicability of method for boundary layer calculations.
