The Beauharnois Canal Locks

Abstract
In Soulanges Section of St. Lawrence river power canal 15 mi long provides deep water navigation channel from Lake St. Francis to Lake St. Louis near Beauharnois, Que; hydraulic features of Seaway structures designed for 10,000 ft Beauharnois section with emphasis on adaptations to site requirements; single separate locks with approaches and short connecting channel were constructed.
