Abstract
Model hydraulic breakwater was constructed on 1:86.5 scale model Liberty Ship; ship was moored in model basin in 7 in, of water and subjected to series of different wave conditions; mooring forces and wave attenuation were measured; graphs showing relationship between wave attenuation and jet-flow rate and dependence of mooring force on wave height are included.
