Local Flood-Protection Projects, Ohio River Basin

Abstract
Local flood protection projects consist of levees, concrete walls, traffic closures, interior drainage facilities, pumping plants, and channel improvements. General requirements for planning and design of the various parts of the projects are presented in this paper. Information is included as to the effectiveness of one of the projects during a flood.
