Planning Implications of Outer Ring Road

Abstract
The procedures adopted for a study of the planning implications for three different future land use development patterns, and a study also providing alternative transport facilities in an outer ring corridor located generally around the periphery of metropolitan Melbourne, Australia, are described. The three future land use development patterns, the range of transport options considered, and the consideration of corridor issues, are mentioned. The analytical techniques used in the study, and the basic evaluation process, are outlined.
