Abstract
During the summer and autumn of 1954, a reinforced concrete grain elevator was constructed in an open, level, field about two miles west of Fargo, North Dakota. A small amount of grain was placed in the elevator that autumn and the following winter. The major filling did not begin until the latter part of April, 1955. Early on the morning of June 12, 1955, the elevator collapsed and was completely destroyed.
