Abstract
The guide specifications presented are intended to make it possible for the specifying engineer to obtain the chemical or chemicals desired, and to effect grouting operations intended with these materials. For the purpose of these specifications, grouts are considered to be any material which may be pumped or placed into the voids in a formation to change the formation properties. Chemical grouts are defined as true solutions, which contain no suspended solid particles unless those are deliberately added for some specific purpose. It is anticipated that in a specification for a particular job it may be necessary to omit certain of the sections which have been included herein and it may also be necessary to revise and enlarge some of these sections.
