Abstract
A simplified procedure for evaluating nitrification progression in a stream is given. Data are presented for the Clinton River between Pontiac and Rochester, Mich, which shows rapid inorganic nitrogen oxidation in this section of the river. Graphical and analytical techniques for evaluating nitrification parameters and progression are described.
