Abstract
Design data and criteria for mixing, flocculation and sedimentation, and arrangement of filters and filter piping in 200 mgd addition to Springwells plant in Detroit, Mich, 150 mgd plant for Wayne County, Mich, 20 mgd industrial water plant in Maryland, and 10 other United States water plants; critical analysis of laboratory data and actual plant performance; decisions influenced by local factors; major differences in old and new plants.
