Abstract
The second of two papers relating to the design and operation of a plant at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory for the collection, treatment, and disposal of large volume (0.5 - 0.7 mgd), low-level radioactive liquid waste. The paper covers the performance of the lime-soda softening process treatment place and shows that it is an effective and economical method for the removal of strontium and other materials.
