Abstract
The theorem of Guyon is modified for a continuous curved beam and those forces that invalidate the theorem are determined in terms of equivalent loads. For these loads, influence coefficients for stress resultants and rotations at the ends of each single span are obtained. These coefficients are used to determine the effect of a linear transformation in the two most common schemes used in continous beams, and the results obtained are compared with those for straight beams.
