Solutions Using Conjugate Elements

Abstract
The conventional conjugate beam method solves only for the flexural effect in beams. This paper extends the method to the solution of shear and temperature gradient effects in beams. Members subjected to thrust and uniform change in temperature are also analyzed by the use of conjugate elements.
